FAQ

Do I need to install Docubird?

No. Docubird works on a license basis and does not require installation. In managed environments, the only requirement is that the add-in(s) are made available via the Microsoft admin center by a user with admin rights.

Which files do I see in Docubird?

Docubird works as a layer on top of all Microsoft 365 files in SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, adding extra functionality and ease of use. If your organization does not yet have data in SharePoint, you will start with a clean environment. Access rights continue to be managed through Microsoft. If you want to make changes, see: Managing document access.

How do I switch from my current DMS?

The Docubird team can usually provide project-based support for migrating files to SharePoint. This applies only to organizations that already use Docubird (minimum 10 licenses).

Which modules and integrations does Docubird offer?

Work processes can be further optimized with modules and integrations, such as:

  • Automatic generation of library structures (provisioning)
  • Digital signing
  • Document approvals
  • CRM integrations
  • Workflows

To activate modules or integrations, contact support@docubird.com. Extensions are only supported for organizations that already use Docubird (minimum 10 licenses) and are configured after the initial implementation.

Can I request custom development?

Docubird is based on a fixed blueprint that delivers a clear document management system for about 90 percent of organizations. If your organization requires a specific setup, we are happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

Can I try Docubird first?

Yes! We offer everyone a free 30-day trial license. In a managed environment, the Consent Request on app.docubird.com must be approved once in advance by a user with global admin rights. The same instructions for making add-ins available apply as with a paid license.
