Activating Docubird for Outlook

Use Docubird for Outlook to save emails and attachments directly to the appropriate SharePoint or Teams location. With this, your capture is always complete, accessible to colleagues and can be analyzed with Copilot.

Why use Docubird for Outlook?

  • You can now save incoming and outgoing emails and attachments in a single operation.
  • Once stored, important information is immediately accessible to anyone with permissions to the storage location, so it does not get stuck in a personal mailbox.
  • Docubird is available as an add-in, allowing you to continue working directly in Outlook.
  • Emails and attachments can be converted to PDF in one click.
  • Docubird recognizes common storage locations, senders and applicable metadata.

Add Outlook add-in

IT administrators can set up the Outlook add-in for all employees through the Microsoft 365 management center. To do so, view the instructions from Microsoft.

Do you have admin rights yourself? Then follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Microsoft Marketplace
  2. Open the application "Docubird for Outlook
  3. Click on Download Now
  4. Log in with your Microsoft account
  5. Complete the installation process
  6. Open Outlook
  7. Create a new email
  8. Click the Apps icon again to open Docubird as a sidebar
  9. Connect your Microsoft account

After installation, Docubird is visible as a button in Outlook, allowing you to save emails and attachments directly to the appropriate location. Use the pin icon to pin Docubird (temporarily or permanently) to the side of your Outlook screen.

A Docubird license is required to use Docubird for Outlook.
