Setting up the Document Manager
The Docubird Document Manager is a browser application in which you can view all SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive files. In this article, we explain how to set up the Document Manager as a browser favorite or Progressive Web App (PWA).
Why use the Document Manager?
- All Microsoft 365 storage locations are immediately visible
- The interface feels familiar (works the same as the familiar Windows Explorer)
- Docubird adds smart functionality that speeds up document processes
- Documents are faster to find, especially when you use metadata
- You can bulk store, move or archive emails and documents
Document Manager in the browser
After activating the Docubird license, you can get started right away in the browser. Just go to app.docubird.com to view all data from Microsoft 365 storage locations and take advantage of its smart features.
We recommend making Docubird part of your daily workflows. Add app.docubird.com as the default favorite or home page. IT administrators can choose to set this for all employees.
Desktop shortcut
The Docubird Document Manager can also be downloaded as a Progressive Web App (PWA). This gives you the ability to:
- Docubird to open from your desktop
- Pin Document Manager to your taskbar
- Open the application automatically at startup of your PC
IT administrators can automatically push the PWA to all employees. Do you have admin rights yourself? Then follow these steps:
- Open app.docubird.com in the browser
- Go to your browser settings
- Select Apps
- Click on 'Install this site as an app'
- Open Docubird from the Windows Start menu
- On first opening, set whether Docubird should start up automatically
- Pin Docubird to the taskbar if necessary
