Working with tasks

In Docubird, you can not only manage documents, but also find actions assigned to you. The Tasks tab offers an overview of open actions from Microsoft 365, so you can quickly see what still needs attention.

Tasks from SharePoint

When your organization uses task management in SharePoint, these are automatically displayed under Tasks in Docubird. This gives you a central place where all your assigned actions are visible, without having to switch between different applications.

Tasks can arise, for example, from:

  • Workflows in which you need to perform a specific step
  • Project or team schedules in SharePoint
  • Assigned actions on project boards

Consistency with Microsoft Approvals

If your organization also works with Microsoft Approvals, those requests appear next to the regular tasks in the same overview. This allows you to see at a glance which documents, projects or approvals are still waiting for your response.

Working more efficiently with tasks

Keeping track of tasks in Docubird helps keep workflows organized. You see immediately:

  • Which actions are assigned to you;
  • From which document or project they originate;
  • and what the status or deadline is.

This allows you to respond faster to ongoing processes and ensures that documents, approvals or projects don't get stuck.

Disable tasks tab

Is your company not using tasks or workflows in Microsoft 365? If so, the Tasks tab can be disabled for the entire organization via admin.docubird.com (accessible to administrators).
