Dragging folders and files

Docubird's drag-and-drop feature lets you quickly add or move documents without having to browse through folders first. This feature works in both the browser version of Docubird and the desktop app, and makes managing files as intuitive as in Windows Explorer.

Upload files via drag and drop

You can drag and drop files directly from your computer into Docubird. Handy when you want to add new documents to a Teams folder, project library or client file.

Here's how it works:

  1. Open the folder in Docubird in which you want to place the file
  2. Open Windows Explorer
  3. Select one or more files
  4. Drag and drop them to the browser window or desktop app

Files are stored in SharePoint or Teams - not locally.

Moving or restructuring folders

In addition to uploading, you can also drag and drop existing files or folders within Docubird to move them around. This keeps your folder structure organized, without having to manually copy or download.

Example:

  • Drag a document from General > Drafts to Projects > Client X
  • Or move an entire folder to a new SharePoint site

The move is immediately synchronized with SharePoint, so everyone sees the new structure immediately.
